We (partner and 2 children aged 8 and 11) spent Feb half term in Les Balcons du Soleil.

I have to say that I was impressed. We booked with Crystal and chose an apt type C1 which had a pull out bed and separate room off the lounge. I was slightly disappointed when I realised the separate room was actually divided by some cumbersome archaic fold back contraption. The lounge area itself was pretty small but nothing that isn't normal for a ski apt. The children had a pull out bed and sofa bed to sleep on in the lounge which for them was more than adequate.

The kitchen was small but functional (maybe not when all 4 of us were in there ravenous! )

I was impressed with the bathroom, again small, but there was a bath which I always find welcoming after a day on the slopes.

The apartments I found to be very clean and the location was perfect. Avoriaz is built down a slope with the apt and ski school being at the top. The children were virtually able... more
