Based on the price and limited info available online I have never thought that it would be as nice as it was. Old building - not new- but clean and kept by a really nice family. The view from our room was incredible- we had a little balcony too. The town of StGervais is elevated in the mts- if traveling during winter snow chains and careful driving are rec. Beautiful quaint town- not a party place but cool- romantic- cute :) Driving distance to Chamonix- we snowboarded in Argentiere-- out of this world! We could see a lift from our window at Escapade and were told that there is a local slope for those that dont want to go far - but dont know the details. Highly recommended! more
