Visited Valmeinier first week of Jan 2008. Travelled with Snowcoach. In concept a great idea - leave PM and arrive next day for start of skiing. Leave on last day after skiing has finished. Valmeinier is a small french resort. This is for me a big plus but may not be for everyone. Stayed at L'Aigle twice. Basic but staff friendly and helpful. Especially nice to one of our party (10 yrs old) who spent most of the trip in the hotel with a broken arm. Downside was that the hotel was "taken over"... more

We stayed at the Hotel L'Aigle with Snowcoach. The hotel was very poor with the child care on offer a very low standard indeed. The food was poor and the security was terrible as we had our children's ski items stolen The ski school was very poor with a lack of communication to parents. Go somewhere else. more

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderfull few days in VALMEINIER we decided to book our hotel through Snowcoach who give you the option of coach air and self drive .
