Great hotel - we wanted a hotel close to the old town which took dogs. This was a fabulous choice. The actual location in on a pedestrian zone, but they do have parking behind the hotel. You check-in first (reception on upper floor) and then they will give you the card that works the gate to get into the private parking (hotel charges 7.50 euro/night; dog was additional small fee. We were on the 4th floor in a lovely room with nice separate sitting area; large modern bath. We came in late September, but these rooms might be warm if you came in the summer, Interior of hotel nice; I would ask for an additional pillow next time. There was a large terrace and breakfast room. Breakfast was usual, many types of roll/bread choices and included some hot items (eggs, delicious cheese/veggie casserole). Friendly staff and will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is right in the city center which is great. Although I had a rental car and street parking can be a little tough. Remember there is no 24 hour front desk, I didn’t know. Although I was given a message, but I did not have cell service to get in. Fortunately the gentlemen was awake and let me in. THANK YOU!!! I was worried I would have to sleep in my car :(. This a great hotel, with a great staff and breakfast!

For a 3 star hotel I wasn’t expecting much more than somewhere to rest my head between explorations of this historic German town. However I was pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and spacious rooms, especially the bathroom. This hotel is a short walk from the railway station, and a stones throw from the town centre, making it the perfect location. Breakfast was of an adequate standard, nothing out of the ordinary but good enough. My only criticism would be the dusty roof beams I spotted above the bed. Once in the old part of the town you are surrounded by beautiful architecture, and are spoilt for choice for cafes to sit and enjoy the ambiance and watch the world go by.

The rooms are clean and convenient, the team freindly, the brekfast very good as a buffet with english and continental elements. elevetor is available, the distance to the train station 650 m and the tram station is just in front of the hotel.

We booked our stay through an internet wholesaler. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk down Berlinerstrasse, right in front of the train station. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the old town and the Gorlitz sights. The hotel has been completely renovated. It has an elevator to access the upper floors. Reception is on the 1st floor (or 2nd floor in North America). Check-in was quick and our room was ready on arrival in mid-morning. Our room was very large, with a king-sized bed and a single bed. It also had a comfortable sitting area and work desk. The bathroom was new and very clean. The whole room was tastefully decorated and appointed. The hotel offers a very good buffet breakfast, free WiFi (in-room), in-room safe and mini bar. For added security the hallway doors are locked at dark. The only minor complaint is that our room faced the street and we did hear the trams passing by. We certainly recommend this hotel for a visit to Gorlitz – a charming city with a compact old city with beautiful buildings and sights. A side trip over the bridge to Poland is an added benefit. Gorlitz is undergoing a renewal of its architecture and sights as is most of the former East Germany. While English is at times rare, most people are friendly and try to help out. Enjoy Gorlitz at the Hotel Europa.

About 10 minutes walk from the railway station and five minutes further to the city centre, this hotel is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and provides a filling breakfast in a spacious, bright room. I had a single room which was small but comfortable. I imagine it could be very hot in the height of Summer. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for quality, location, and service at a reasonable price.
