The Hotel Central is a modern hotel in the small Bavarian city of Hof. The 'comfort' rooms are lavishly decorated with carved wooden panels and beautiful wall paper. Bed and bathroom are modern and comfortable. One complaint is that the hallways are dimly lit and can smell musty. The spa and sauna in the basement were well equipped. We had a nice bavarian dinner in the hotel restaurant. The continental breakfast was very good and featured an outstanding assortment of german sausages.
The hotel is adjacent to the Hof auditorium where you can attend a concert. We were extremely lucky that a famous circus was in town during our stay. Very friendly and helpful at the front desk. A good stop on an uncommon destination. more
