We've just returned from a 4 night, £1,300 break to this hotel. It was not as described at all and really, it should not be allowed to get away with calling itself a 5 star hotel. This hotel was rated 5 star but i would have to put it at a good 4 star. Reception desk small but pleasant staff. Bags taken to room by staff. Maid service and fresh towels every day. What a beautiful hotel this was, the staff were very friendly and helpful the rooms were kept spotlessly clean everyday. Lovely marble sweeping staircases, the beach was a step away from the main foyer. visited the med palace although the pastel blue colour doesn`t give it justice. Just arrived back from a weeks stay at the Cleopatra Hotel , we loved it, i do have to agree with others that it probably is now more 4 star than 5, however its still very nice indeed, a little tired and could do with up dating, at very least loose the shower curtains and get glass screens cuz all... more
