I attended the wedding of a close member of family here recently. The hotel itself looks magnificent and the parkland setting is stunning – just the kind of place you'd think would make an ideal wedding venue. Well, not quite. Your wedding guests will be impressed at the sight of the venue, and you'll get some great pictures. But don't... more

My husband & I stayed here for our 1st Anniversary and weren't disappointed. The hotel is a beautiful building that combines its original old features with all the modern things that you would expect from a quality hotel. We had a lovely room up in the top corner so with views to two aspects and plenty of light (we were... more

We stayed at Rushton Hall for one night having attended the Burghley Horse Trials in Stamford. I have to say having read some of the reviews I was a little concerned, but this concern was eliminated from the moment we arrived and I was really impressed throughout our stay. I noticed that there was a lot of complaint about price,... more

Nice location. Lovely grounds and setting. Nice and grand. Staff quite friendly. We stayed for 1 night in the Francis Tresham room in Rushton Hall on 2nd floor. On a summer special deal, canapes, dinner B & B. Room was lovely. Nice, fresh and clean, with lovely views of the Hall. The bathroom was huge, had a separate shower and... more

It is always difficult to pass unfavourable comments when you've booked a 2 for 1 deal but I would have been horrified to have paid full price with some of the errors made on this trip. The Good; excellent location and surroundings, beautiful building with character, friendly and attentive staff (mostly), tastefully decorated and clean room, lovely spa with complimentary... more

Myself and my husband decided to stay at Rushton Hall for the start of our 10 day annual break. We found a deal with 1 night free, free champagne & 2 Spa treatments so we thought it would be a little luxury to start our break. We rather wish we had chosen to go elsewhere. FIRSTLY, we were checked into... more

My partner and i stayed here friday night to sunday. We got a special deal through the Indepent on Sunday, (£79pp per night, which included breakfast, champagne and strawberries on arrival, afternoon tea and dinner for one evening. Fantastic offer, so didnt find the weekend too expensive.) We arrived late friday and had dinner in the michelin starred restaurant. Food... more

The hotel is absolutely beautiful to look at from the outside. Unfortunately after that, it was a huge let down. The service for dinner was very slow, - we waited 1 hour for our main course and even then it was undercooked. We stayed in one of the expensive 4 posters, but were woken up at just after 8am by... more

We've visited Rushton Hall about half a dozen times and although it has improved, it still has problems. Most importantly, it is really poor value. You can easily face a bill of £ 90 for an ordinary lunch. If you want an afternoon tea and choose to substitute something on the set menu, they will charge you for BOTH items.... more

I made the mistake of staying in a really expensive hotel spa for 3 nights, then going to Rushton Hall immediately afterwards. The rooms are dull, boring, bathrooms are outdated, beds are small (I was in a superior with my wife) funny noises, hot and airless. But it was clean. The only other negative was the evening meal which was... more
