If I'm not mistaken, the hotel was undergoing renovation at the time, hence the plywood and construction materials gathered and lying about the property. This Travelodge had all the usual things, plus more than many others when it came to in-room items: microwave, fridge, alarm clock, coffeemaker, etc. The toilet was new (what happened to the old one?), but the tub had paint spilled on it and cigarette burns along the edge. It's definitely a well-used motel, but it was OK in a pinch.... more

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel appears to be in an industrial area and has a lot of out of town workers in residence. The room was in need of repair. The shower curtain had black mold on the bottom edge. The carpet was filthy and room service never even replaced the used soap day to day. Worse room that I have ever stayed in. more

First, don't go to Midland unless you absolutely have to. If you do have to, avoid this hotel. Rooms were dirty and in disrepair (peeling wallpaper). Staff was generally freindly but seemingly incompetent and unhelpful. Advertised high speed internet worked for maybe 5 minutes over my two days there. This is the the third hotel in Texas where we walked in and walked out. The room was in no condition for visitors. The web site says, newly remodeled, maybe in1970...the furniture was beat up...the room above has having a bbq, we decided they were renting by the week and checked out before unpacking our bags. stike three for Texas more

The room was very clean and had a good smell. The breakfast area was clean and the employee was very attentive to what we needed. We had traveled to Midland for our daughter and got caught in a snow storm while we were there and the employees were very helpful with helping us find alternate routes. I would recommend this... more
