The hallway doesn't have air conditioning, the pool wasn't heated, the restaurant took an hour, a rude waitress was running back talking back to her manager in front of the customer, while the other people in the restaurant was in la la land. we asked for 4 towels and was delivered with only 3 towels and a couple hand towels,... Our annual celebration of being family, our sibling vacation, was delightful at Tanglewood. The staff helped with our celebration. So friendly!! We only ate their breakfast as we stayed at the Villa and all love to cook so we did! At breakfast, the waitress, Debi, was so fun and happy to serve and take photos for us. Food good, but... More

Although the location is ideal from Dallas, only a 90 minute drive, I was extremely disappointed in Tanglewood. The décor blasts you back to 1980. The grounds are not well kept. The hot tub was FILTHY. There was literally a ring around it and the water was a light brown color. The food tasted at least one day old. We... More

This was a "nice enough" resort to stay at however be PREPARED TO PAY EXHORBRANT fees they tack on. We own property but will not stay there again - ever. Not only do you pay a 18% fee on any and every food and beverage bill, you also get charged at checkout a $25 resort fee. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??... More

I stayed in the Tower, there were bees. They sent a man up to spray, but the next day the bees were back. I saw people in Barnacles, there bar and grill, lick there fingers and then handle food. The food tasted like something I could get anywhere for a fourth of the price. Food is very overpriced. The front... More

Stayed here for four days. In terms of location, it is not too far from DFW metroplex - only one hour drive. It is located walking distance from a good size lake. You can find covered boatdocks and restaurants. The natural surrounding is also good, can perform a lot of outdoor activities. The hotel interior is rather strange. They have... More

This is an 80's motel 6. My husband said the room was depressing. We ended up paying an extra $50.00 per nignt to updrade to a villa which is still straight out of the 80's. The villa is basically a large apartment with a fireplace and a big jacuzzi tub. Restaurants are mediocre and also charge an 18% resort fee... More

Stayed for 2 days in December. Room, service and food was excellent. There is not a lot to do there but I wanted to get away so that was great. Now it is not a 5 star resort but an excellent place to get away,

This is a beautiful resort. The villas are amazing, and the rooms are comfy. I've stayed in the Villas and in the King rooms. The beds are really comfy, and we had a nice view of the lake. The food we had was subpar, left quite a lot to be desired. Check-in/out was super easy. Our room was right across... More

Me and my wife took advantage of there Fishing trip special witch was a nights stay, breakfast and a fishing trip on the lake, all for a very reasonable price. The area the resort is in is a beautiful part of TX and it over looks the marina and the lake. There is a cool restaurant and bar down at... More
