I live in the Schertz area, but I've recently had occasion to stay at the Atrium Inn (twice) and absolutely loved it! First, I was given a nights stay there for Mother's Day. When we first walked in, I was immediately impressed with how pretty the lobby was. The woman at the front desk was very friendly upon check-in &... more

Relocating into the area of Randolph AFB we stayed at this hotel. They offer military discounts the beds are good size as are the rooms. Our room had a wall mounted 36" flat screen tv which our teen son loved! The pool and jacuzzi area is in the middle of the hotel surrounded in a garden like sanctuary. I would... more

You might find better hotels in the area but you could do alot worse. I really have no complaints. My husband thought the hotel looked a "bit run down". I felt like the hotel was fine, just not the newest. They have a large interior atrium with a pool, hot tub, seating area and lots of tropical plants. Our room... more

We went for a high school graduation and wanted to stay close to where the "graduate" lived, hence came in Schertz...well there are only two choices...this one and the Hampton. From prior experience with Hamptons we decided to go with Atrium Inn. (only later realizing we could have driven less than 5 miles down IH 35 and found other hotels)... more

We had a good time during our Texas vacation. We stayed at the Atrium the whole time as it is well located between Austin and San Antonia. The room was adequate, the bed firm and older (we were told that pillow top mattresses were the next upgrade and well over due), the carpet badly stained, and the heater/AC unit worked... more

The Atrium has a mold and mildew problem "big time" in several of the hotel's bathrooms (at least the several rooms that our family used), and dead crickets in the rooms and hallways. The black mold was on the bathroom grout between the tiles, on the grout sealing the tub to the walls, and on the grout between the floor... more

It seems that the San Antonio area is completely infested with crickets during this season, but in ONE night I killed 23 crickets in our room. FOUR of those were on/in the bed!! My count didn't include the 10-15 dead crickets on the floor. Dim lighting, dingy pool area-- for $100/night? Turns out it cost $30 to cancel your reservation... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Atrium Inn. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the pool was great for the kids. We recommend staying in one of the rooms on the first floor where the patio door opens to the pool area. It is very conveinent to watch the kids from your room. The location of... more

Keep on movin' down the road and find another place to stay. I regret not trusting the Trip Advisor reviewer who panned this place, but instead gave it a shot since there was one good and one bad review of the Atrium Inn. Big Mistake! They didn't have the room I had booked, there was a dead cricket on the... more

We stayed at the Atrium Inn because we were not able to find a room anywhere else in San Antonio Easter weekend. What a great find we came across. The weather was cold and rainly but the heated indoor pool was perfect for the kids. We had a room with a pool view and it was easy to keep an... more
