After staying at this hotel, I would have to rate the experience as "marginal", at best. Our family was driving from Austin to Denver and since we were travelling with small children, we decided to spend the night mid-way. Texline Inn was inexpensive, compared to other hotels in the vicinity, and when we saw the other review on Trip Advisor, we decided to give it a try.

I wish I could say we were as pleased with our experience as TexFamily7, but we just didn't like the accomodations, and if given the chance to do it again, we would opt for a more expensive hotel up the road in Amirillo.

The people who own Texline Inn are extremely friendly and helpful. They are wonderful to do business with - a real mom and pop business. The hotel was extremely quiet, and the air conditioners were the kind that hummed all night long without that annoying and jarring "on" /"off" cycle that so many hotels have. We drove from the Dallas area to Breckenridge with the intention of breaking our trip into two days of driving. The night before we left, I realized I forgot to reserve overnight lodging somewhere midway. I searched from Amarillo to towns in New Mexico only to find that every place was sold out. And because we have four children, our best option was to find a suite rather than two motel rooms. After extensive searching on the internet, I found one place called Texline Inn that had a vacancy. I contacted the motel directly, speaking to the daughter of the owners (who purchased the property two years earlier and were in the middle of renovating and redecorating the rooms). She told me there was one suite room available that could accomodate our family. The total cost including tax was just under $85, much less expensive than the other similar hotels I contacted.
