The San Solomon Courts at Balmorhea State Park are also worth checking out. They are somewhat old fashioned, something in an adobe type appearance, since they were built during the Depression years, but equally the equivalent of a Motel 6 as far as furnishings are concerned.
The rooms were neat and well kept as were the bath fixtures.
This is in a quiet location, a few hundred yards from the pool, which in itself is immense. There was runnning water alongside the motel units with a pleasant rushing sound.
All in all a quiet getaway location with comfortable accommodations.
Only drawbacks were there was no restaurant at the park and the closest restaurants were a few miles away
