A business associate and I both checked in separate rooms last night. The stench in my own room was unbearable, a cross between old shrimp and cleaning supplies. His was not much better. For the price I paid ($50 on a Sunday night) the Inn of Uvalde was acceptable. The desk clerk wasn't especially efficient or friendly, even before I asked to be moved to a different room. I booked 2 nights at this hotel, but only stayed one before moving to the Holiday Inn next door. PROS: This hotel is very clean -- my room's carpet appeared to be brand new. The Inn of Uvalde is a clean, basic motel at a reasonable price. We had no complaints during our stay. It has a nice grassy area with trees on one side near the pool.
