I chose this motel because of a tie -in Best Western was running with Southwest Airlines. AAA rated it with 2 Diamonds. At its best, the motel room was clean. However, the room had no security lock of any kind: no chain, no dead bolt, nothing. Lighting in the parking lot was almost non existent. There were no sensor lights... more
The Best Western Country Inn at Vega, Texas has been one of our favorites as "the first night out/last night out" overnight stop on our trips to California . We arrived here without a booking in the middle of a storm and recieved a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. I would advise any traveller thinking of staying at this hotel to think again! I paid 100+ dollars for a room. When I arrived, the door would not lock.
