Recently visited Waco on a short business trip and stayed again at the Old Main Lodge. I always find the people very friendly and the rooms are large, clean and quiet. Quiet, safe location next to the Baylor campus and near the Texas Ranger Museum and other attractions. more

This facility looked nice from the outside - brick exterior, plantation shutters in the windows - but the rooms were disappointing. The first room we were assigned had an air conditioner unit making a loud, chugging noise and a light switch by the door that didn't work. We decided it was unacceptable and requested another room. In the second room,... more

This used to be a pretty nice place -- stayed there twice before -- but it's really going down hill. Our room smelled badly of mold and the carpet was filthy. The desk clerk when we checked in was rude and curt. Seems like a property across the street from Baylor University would want to be top notch. To its... more

I stayed at the Old Main Lodge Best Western in Waco Texas in November 2007. I was completely satisfied. No complaints. Large, clean rooms in a quite, safe area of town. There are 2 places to eat right next to the hotel. If you are visiting Baylor, you could not get any closer. Great place for walking pets if traveling... more

We arrived later than the other couple we traveled with. They checked in on July 4th & gauranteed two rooms with their debit card (1st mistake). When checking out on July 6, 2007, we paid with cash $216.96 (2nd mistake) for one room while our friends paid for the other room with their debit card. We each got a reciept... more

I stayed at this hotel in 2000. We weren't in the room much because my primary purpose was to visit Baylor University. This is the closest hotel to Baylor (100 feet from North Russell dorm) and it's very affordable. The room was clean and staff friendly. The hotel didn't have any outstanding amenities or features, but we didn't need any... more

Sheets had hair on them and were very dingy. They need new linens in their rooms. Rooms were dark and dirty looking. It appeared to be an old motel that needs updating. more

Having recently returned from a stay at this property I would like to comment on its excellent quality, location, and value. We payed $72 for our standard room which featured 2 double beds, a work desk/table, A large dresser, night stand, 2 sinks, a TV, shower, and closet. The room was comprable to that of a Courtyard by Marriot except... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Old Main Lodge. Knowing that it had been around a long time, I didn't have the highest of expections. I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms were nice and clean and the pool and lanscaped surroundings were great. The breakfast was nice too! For the price and the proximity to Baylor (across... more
