The new owner gutted and rennovated the place, and most of the hotel has been turned into posh shopping and office space, but they've got 6 rooms available for a minimum of 2 nights. We stayed the weekend for $215, and got a great room with a beautiful view of the old courthouse. The train rumbling by at 4am was... More

Just FYI, this hotel is now closed due to water damage, and is condemned. It will not be re-opening. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past 2 years, under different ownership. The building and the atmosphere are amazing, and the most recent set of owners has done a wonderful job renovating the hotel and creating great... More

I have been staying at the Rogers Hotel in downtown Waxahachie at least once a year for about the past 5 years, as I attend the Scarborough Renaissance Faire. Through the years, there have been some ‘variations’ on the service and quality of stay, but I felt I really needed to post a review this time as I am so... More

My husband and I stayed here for our 12th wedding anniversary. We were excited about this hotel because of its charm and history. We ended up leaving at 2 am in the morning. This place is run by a bunch of kids it seems. There were young adults everywhere with beer and having a great time. We asked for assistance... More

On Saturday July 28, 2007 my wife and I checked into the Rogers Hotel in Waxahachie, Texas. We had previously stayed in this hotel and had reservations knowing that the facilities, although old, had been modernized and well-maintained. We thought from our prior stays that we knew what to expect. As we were checking in, a guest from the fourth... More

downtown Waxahachie is charming, with it's little shops and antique store, a beautiful courthouse. The lobby and commen areas of this hotel are also pretty, loved the original elevator (or at least time period). The room was large, bed was comfortable, bathroom also big. I was very disapointed and felt like the didnt quite get our room finished when housekeeping... More

I've stayed with friends at the Rogers in the past, and the room and service were adequate. This past visit was a Mother's Day stay booked weeks in advance through their online booking page. When we arrived, the staff member stated that they had been having problems with their site, that our reservations was lost, and that they could not... More

We recently visited this hotel for the Murder Mystery weekend. The staff of the Murder Mystery was very entertaining and we were impressed as this was our first experience with this type of event. However; we were extremely disappointed in the hotel accomodations and meals. We paid a price of $148.00 per person for a one night stay. According to... More

I was involved with a wedding recently held at this hotel. I found the site absolutely beautiful, we travel alot and usually stay in newer or more modern hotels, however we will from now on stay in historic hotels. The renovations to this hotel are incredible and the rates certainly beat most modern hotels. Sure there are trains but from... More

My wife and I stayed in the Rogers Hotel the last two years on our anniversary. Love the restoration of this "lady" that once welcomed professional baseball teams which stayed here during off season training. The original cage elevator takes you from the beautiful lobby up and back to almost 100 years earlier. Have recommended it to several of our... More
