I have seen on Tripadvisor that often the hotel reputation is assigned also considering what the staff has done - or not - for the guest.
A bad behavior or a wrong answer sometimes worth a 1 star score, even if the hotel is luxury rated and in mint condition.
This motel is not new, is not huge, it is a small and plain motel well kept with rooms not even big as others, furnitures maybe old styled, but everything is immaculated, the bed is good as well as linens and towels, new A/C and a fridge are included, in the evening you can sit outside the room for relaxing.
And, overall, has a very nice and loquacious owner, Burt, with whom you can talk beyond the usual conversation about restaurants or places to visit in the nearby.
For this reason I give Mokee Motel a five star rating, for the nice "human touch" we felt there. more
