Don't be fooled by the photos on their website, this place is furnished more like a college rental, down to the worn raggedy towels, missing curtains, and flabby blue overstuffed naugahyde couch. The structure itself still has integrity and charm, sitting on the main street with a front porch and rocking chairs. But it needs some plastering and paint and... more

In February 2005 my husband Jim and I stayed in the Vagabond Inn in Escalante. It is actually a historical house owned by Escalante Outfitters, a quarter mile down the road.
