My best friend and I went to Kanab UT for our annual girls weekend. She found the cottages on the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary website ([--]) There are a several different cottages to stay in, all within walking distance of "downtown" Kanab. We stayed in the Rose Cottage- 3 bedrooms, very spacious, fenced in backyard with a gas grille. Very nicely decorated, quiet, safe neighborhood. We were allowed to bring a dog from Best Friends for a "sleepover"! This was my first experience to stay in a place that was not a true hotel-I'm spoiled now! There is kitchen utensils, pots/pans, and any food that is there (cereal, tea, coffee, popcorn) is free to use. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. The cottage was decorated in a earthy "shabby/chic" style. Yes, the outside of the cottage might have some peeling paint, and it is in a residential area, but who cares?
