Big rooms, as you often get with US hotels. But slightly dated and drab. The mexican restaurant isn't bad, and seems much better value than the others. Not a particularly cheap hotel, so overall doesn't score highly on value, but it's not a rip-off. more

Not exactly what I was expecting in a ski resort. No walls of windows to take in the mountain views, lots of exposed concrete walls, very little natural light, etc., but since it is in an avalanche area that's understandable. Stayed here for a sales meeting, so I don't know what the room rate was. Rooms seemed recently updated and... more

I'll start this review by admitting my wife and I have not been on a ski destination vacation in 8 years. Before we moved to Ontario we lived in Montreal and did all the big resorts in the east. So this trip was our first time skiing on shaped skis and visiting a resort where true powder skiing is the... more

Rooms were nice if a bit on the small size. Beds and furnishing were top notch. Pool was ok. Prices were high ($3 coffee, $6 taco, $15 burger, $20 breakfast, $30 entree, etc.) but in line with other on-mountain ski resort hotels. Food was average at best. Aerie restruant closed on Tues night leaving the bar the only option for... more

My wife and I stayed at the Cliff Lodge last week. This was our fifth time there, and generally we have enjoyed our stays. However this time there was a noticable drop in service and we are not likely to return. First, there was no internet access all week. Apparently this is because the hotel has a single T-1 line... more

We stayed here for 2 nights for an event that we were attending. There may be a totally different experience if you stay here in the winter but we found it rather dull. All of the buildings in the area are made of concrete - not attractive or warm. There is no good shopping and there are good restaurants -... more

We stayed at the Cliff Lodge and Spa because we were at a three day conference. Conference facilities and services were excellent. Room was very comfortable. We understand this is an expensive place to ski. The Aerie Restaurant was excellent...and should have been because it's also expensive. Windows in our room and Aerie restaurant were streaked. Customer service was very... more

Stayed here for two nights as part of a convention. The hotel itself is a concrete block with the odd bit of disguise such as wood panelling and carpets. Its a bit of a rabbit warren. Bar on the top level was pleasant enough. The pool and spas looked good but, I suspect, a bit small to accommodate everyone at... more

We stayed at the Cliff Lodge for 3 nights over the last weekend in June, for a Birding Convention. The place is huge-tons of activities are available and all the employees are very friendly and helpful. The Valet Parking is free (although we gave gratuities both coming and going). There are two beautiful pools, and although we didn't eat in... more

My husband and I decided to go to the cliff Lodge for a quick weekend getaway, since we live in Salt Lake City. We arrived at around 7:30, checked in, and then went to El Chanante. It was awful. The appetizer was pretty good and then both of our entrees were questionable, and it was extremely overpriced. After dinner we... more
