We are owners in Orange Lake Florida and stayed for two weekends on Global Points exchanges, one weekend in a 2 bedroom loft with attached King bedroom lockout in Essex and the 2nd weekend in a 2 bedroom loft in Bennington. Both buildings are immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Essex did not provide hairdryers. Ski in/ski out was very convenient.... more

We stayed from 12/28 thru 1/2/2009. Overall we had a great trip. This timeframe and place served as a perfect venue to introduce our kids to skiing. While the weather did not allow for all the slopes to be open, as beginners a good time was had by all (3 adults and 5 kids ages 8 thru 16). Likes included:... more

For those of you that have visited Ascutney or are considering a visit, you need to take it with a grain of salt. I've been going to Ascutney with my family for decades, and it has always been a great mountain. If you are looking for challenging terrain (as opposed to Okemo), this is a great place, provided there is... more

This was our first ski experience and we decided that we would give Vermont a try the weekend after christmas. We are owners in Orange Lake Florida and have awesome vacations every Feb break. Both my sister's family (also owners) of 6 and my family of 4 were not thrilled with the overall Vermont timeshare. As the prior blogger stated.... more

First off I want to say that Ascutney is a great mountain to escape the crowds and still have a somewhat big-mountain experiece. We were lucky enough to arrive after 2+ feet of snow so the skiing was fantastic! Now, as for the resort.... Ascutney recently sold this hotel and several detatched groups of condo's to Orange Lake Resorts (the... more

First, let me say to those who may not know, this is the same place as Ascutney Mountain Resort, under new Orange Lake timeshare ownership. We bought our week last year, and stayed in our new unit for the first time. Our unit is a 3 bedroom upper floor unit in the "Bennington" with a nice view of the slope.... more

This place is ok. The rooms are decorated beautifully and look similar to the pictures (except the kitchen is not quite as nice). There was no dvd player, which kind of stunk since it was raining a lot when we stayed. The bed was very very firm, which one of my friends liked, but I had a backache by the... more

I would first like to say, Vermont is GORGEOUS! This is the first time I visited and would very much like to return there. I visited this resort as result of an offer to "check it out" from Orange Lake Resort and timeshares. I own 2 weeks in Florida. OLR doesn't even own it...yet. The room was tastefully decorated and... more
