Beautiful place, very kind hosts, bang in the middle of wonderful nature! We arrived after spending a few days in Boston. Windekind is 180 degrees the opposite of a busy city. At the end of a road you arrive in a little paradise where Mark and Marijke have become one with the surrounding nature. We spent 7 days in September... More

This cabin was well worth the visit! I stayed here for 2 nights with my girlfriend recently. There is a very cute little kitchen with an inviting adjoining living room complete with a Gaz fireplace. There is a small selection of Frendh Cafe Music and Classical CDs, which you can listen to on a compact little music center. The bed... More

My family and I just returned back from Windekind Farm just a few weeks ago. This was our first time back with our children. My husband and I went to Windekind for the first time about 3 and 1/2 years ago and we fell in love with everything Windekind has to offer so we were looking forward to taking our... More

My husband and I began our honeymoon with two nights at Windekind farms after we got married at the beginning of October 2011. We were thrilled to find a sanctuary after the stress and chaos of the wedding. We stayed at Breidablick Cottage and found it to be cozy and homey. We were pleased that the kitchen was well stocked... More

Windekind Farm is an absolutely lovely spot. The grounds are beautiful, the lodging comfortable, the people terrific. Mark is a very interesting gentleman with a passion for trains. See their website for the amazing "model" trains he produces. There is a resident Golden Retriever, Elsa, one of the sweetest creatures we've encountered, and as a bonus the Smiths were dogsitting... My husband and I stayed at Windekind in May of 2011 and loved every minute of it. Even though it is marketed as an “inn,” I felt as if I were visiting family. Mark and Marijke have made their corner of the world absolutely beautiful and I am so grateful they opened it up for others to share. They are... More

In 2009, I posted a review entitled "Windekind is like the old familiar sweater you pull out of the draw each fall...” Since this posting, we have returned again and again to Windekind, and I can say nothing has changed about our love for this place. Each visit unfolds something new. Our visits typically coincide with the end of summer... More

My husband and I have been going to Windekind Farm now for the past six years. We go at least twice a year for several days or more. (We wish we could move into one of the two cottages on the farm). The place is a serene oasis of gorgeous perennial gardens, two ponds, a chortling stream and a miniature... More

Perfect weekend getaway. Mark and Marijke are very friendly and hospitable. My girlfriend and I have stayed in the Breidablick twice over the last two years (in June). Our expectations were surpassed with each stay. For us, the Breidablick is a charming, welcoming and romantic guest house that offers a comfortable "at-home" coziness. The cottage is clean and well kept... More

Windekind Farm is without a doubt, one of the most wonderful and beautiful places we have ever visited. Nestled against the picturesque Camel's Hump, and surrounded by sprawling forests, streams, and the sounds of wildlife, Windekind provided the perfect backdrop to our much needed rest and reprieve per the daily grind. It's centralized location to the Champlain Valley, Burlington, Waterbury,... More
