You could look at Astas and drive by and that would be a shame.Four of us stayed one night recently eating in the restaurant in the evening and there for breakfast.
We arrived in the afternoon with time on our hands and ended up in the local hall where we were given the history of its restoration and were shown the hand painted antique stage back drops by a delightful retired professor.
Our two first floor ensuite rooms were clean,comfortable and warm.We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was absolutely fine and no more expensive than others we ate in over two weeks across New England.
After dinner we were asked what we would like for breakfast,about the only time on this trip.Breakfast was better than many we had in various inn B&B's.The Tyrolean style apple,cereal and yoghurt dish was superb.
When we left we were given apples and cookies to take with us.All we can say is good for you small village USA. more
