My lady & I came up last March. We wanted a clean comfortable place where we could just ski our brains out without paying "Big Resort Prices". We found what we wanted, one week at the DeerRun cost about the same as one night at Smuggs! The staff was great, the rooms large and comfy & we even had a fridge & Micro. Cool locals place next door 4 nitelife. We hit Stowe, Smugs Burke, Bolton & that incredible snow machine Jay Peak. I even spent a day at the legendary Mad River Glen (Ski it if You Can!). turns out it was Vermont's best late winter snow year in many years. We'll be going back again next February so as to not push our spring skiing luck. Its perfectly situated for a multi-mountain trip.
