No, this isn't a luxury hotel or a girly B&B. It's a ski lodge, and that's a good thing. The entrance is a little funky, I'll admit, with six packs of beer chilling on the stoop, but that's OK. The lobby has a big rack where people stash their skis and boards and dry their boots overnight, and a big... More

I don't stay anywhere! Simple, clean, convenient, cheap and breakfast included! Best fire place and common room ever!

Bait and switch stuck in a hole smells like Smokey donkey Kong on steroids, wind rips through the walls very cold balls. Trucks roar by all night. Steward up banging stairs at 4 am changing sheets of 25 rooms. Flushed the toilet and ran out of hot water, how'd they do that. Had to demand a key imagine that. Reservation... More

Relatively affordable. We paid $85 a night, which I don't consider to be a fantastic deal. It was about a 15min drive to the mountain. Just a few miles from the Killington entrance. It's a lodge that has more single beds then rooms. Nice atmosphere, feels like you've rented a house with friends. Breakfast served in the main room, theres... More

We were looking for a cheap room close to Killington's ski area and found exactly that at Turn of River. My wife and I stayed for three mid-week nights in a private room with a shared bathroom. Prior to our stay, we were a bit uneasy with the shared bathroom aspect, but we quickly got over after our first day.... More

It is a basic, clean & very convinient lodge for those who just want to ski Killington + Pico and crush in a warm room. Do not expect anything beyound your basics -- a clean place to stay with a hot shower and some staples for breakfast (Cereal, English muffins, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, juice). We stayed in a private... More

I have been staying at TRL since Feb 1998. I stay no where else. I have had more fun in killington and at TRL than anyother place I have been. Long live TRL and it's owner Dick Brady!!

Even though I did NOT stay here in 2011, this site would not allow me to choose an earlier year!!! I first stayed at Turn of River Lodge back in 1977 with my then girlfriend. We absolutely LOVED the place. It's all about the skiing (at least in the winter). We were very close to the Gondola base which was... More

Two weeks ago, my husband and I stayed here for a second time around; our previous stay was during the 2009-2010 ski season. The property is a very clean old-fashioned ski lodge that is a good place to stay during the fall foliage season because we paid about $150 all in for two nights stay, which included a breakfast of... Turn of River Lodge in VT is very comfortable. I stayed in the bunk house and saved a ton of money. The showers are hot, breakfast is cereal, danish, juice, coffee, warm and cozy. I enjoyed the company in the lobby where other guests gather and share stories of the day. Close to shops and gondola, it's the perfect place... More
