9.8 is as good a rating as I've given a resturant in a long time. Don't miss the Carppacio or you'll never forgive yourself. The service is outstanding and very attentive. I think this is a TOP 5 resturant in Vermont and for sure a don't miss.....Oh and the Chocolate bananna dessert is to die for.... Enjoyed the Panther and... more

We came here for dinner after it was recommended by our hotel, the Equinox, because their dining room was full. What a mistake! My comments focus on the restaurant and in particular the restaurant manager who doubles as a bartender. Upon arrival, we were told that our table wasn't ready and to have a drink at the bar. The bartender... more

I have been visiting Manchester now for almost 20 years and over the years I have stayed at many of the hotels and B & Bs listed here. There is never a question for me which is the best place and also my favorite - The Reluctant Panther has my vote hands down! Love the whole place, the rooms, the... more

We stayed at the reluctant panther friday and saturday night. The room was lovely, very clean, and the bathroom was impressive. We chose to eat at their restaurant saturday night and had a cocktail at the smaller bar before hand. The cocktails were good. Our server was a gentleman. But when our food was brought out the young lady had... more

My wife and I stayed at this inn and had a great experience, and I would recommend this as a nice weekend getaway. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. As soon as we arrived we were greeted graciously by the host. We were a little hesitant at first as the service at the bar wasn't... more

My partner and myself have been on a trip through new england over the past week experiencing the foliage and going to inns and restaurants. I have new had such an incredible meal as we did at The Reluctant Panther. Our server was gracious and very approachable. As for the food, we were blown away! I had the beef carpaccio... more

Our first hint of a disaster was when we sat down at the bar to wait for our table and my wife asked for a drink on the rocks. It was the end of the bottle and instead of starting a new bottle, she got barely half a drink with ice. Sheer laziness!!! Then I ordered butternut squash soup and... more

My husband and I went to the Reluctant Panther to celebrate our anniversary; however, we left feeling violated and very shaken up. After driving over three hours to get to the Reluctant Panther Inn, we decided to relax in the hot tub located in the bathroom. Before doing so, we both checked to make sure our room door was locked.... more

Having stayed at the Inn prior to renovations, we were pleased with what we saw! It still has that old country inn charm but with modern conveniences. Each suite is beautifully decorated and all have the luxury of a fireplace and spa tub. The Innkeepers make you feel like family but provide all the privacy you need. The food is... more

Let me start by saying we stayed in the Pond View Suite, which I believe is the most expensive room in the joint. For $600 a night we got: no greeting, no goodbye (the owner glanced over and ignored us), ugly dusty floral arrangements EVERYWHERE, tacky furniture, machinery in the bedroom corner cupboard that made noise all night, a shared... more
