This place is inexpensive, relative to others in the area. The owners seemed to be nice folks. Our two rooms smelled like my grandmother's basement. Manchester, VT is one of our favorite places to stay, and we usually patronize the Battenkill Inn B&B. For over twenty years we have been coming back to the Stamford. Albeit a small motel, the owners are always helpful and provide rooms which are very comfortable, complete w/fridge and micro and in-room coffee. Two doubles are always available, and it's set back from the highway ... nice and quiet and good views of the Equonox Mountains. Found them... more
We were visiting Southern Vermont in early June and stayed at the Stamford Motel for two nights. It was a nice, cozy, affordable option, compared with other motels in the area.
