My family changed our spring break trip from Florida to Vermont skiing days before we were leaving. A last minute reservation brought us to this very friendly and cozy hotel. The staff was amazing and the free breakfast delicious. With no return flight booked we ended up staying the week. The lodge is not fancy but offers everything you need... More

The staff is veeery friendly. Patrick and Maksim run the place and really help you out with all the information you need, plus they make you feel right at home. Breakfast included and is a real meal! Eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes, oj, coffee, etc. Not the usual continental breakfast. Ask for a room with chimeney, very romantic. My wife and... More

The staff was so friendly here. Bent over backwards to help. Gave me advice for my trip to Killington resort and super attentive at Breakfast. B-fast was good (panckaes, eggs, bacon)...We stayed one night and met our needs well. Our room was clean. Got a great nights sleep. Keurig with Green Mountain coffee in the room. 12 minute drive to... More

I came for a music festival (Snoe.Down), not primarily for winter sports, and I chose this place (online) because of its location -- close to Killington as well as to Rutland where the nightly concerts are held. I also chose it because it had the right balance of price and amenities. But you never really know until you get there.... More

Sure there are places closer to Killington that are fancier abd cost a lot more and there are places in Rutland that are bare bones and cost a lot less but this place fit right in between. Much of the fittings and furniture date from the 80's and they seem to be in the process of being restored or slowly... More

We arrived late, but received a warm welcome from the Lodgekeeper who pointed out the tray of cookies and cider by the fireplace. (which was not "roaring" but still very nice... We ski at Killington a lot and usually stay at a chain in Rutland. Good enough, but there is something about the open space and high ceilings and the... More

I have made several trips to Killington and Rutland over the years but have never stayed at a place like this. My friends and I came up for a long weekend and were floored by the friendly service across the board, the delicious & hearty breakfast (thank you Maggie & Connie) and the friendly owner who let us check out... We stayed at the lodge with 2 children and the hotel was perfect for a 3 day ski weekend to Pico, which is about 3 minutes up the road. The room was satisfactory, and we were lucky to be in an end unit, so noise from other rooms wasn't too bad. The hot breakfast was simple, yet ample and on... More

This is a really nice place, great lobby, great breakfast (serves at 7am, early than most places), extremely friendly, helpful staff, the rooms are modern (except for the 1980s TV), clean, good sized...BUT the walls and ceilings are rediculously thin. We could here the conversation in the room next door and their alarm go off in the AM. Too bad,... More

Hotel staff is great. Patrick will take care of you from behind the desk and Connie will make sure you're fed well. Convenient location to Pico and Killington with many places to eat and drink in between. McGraths Irish Pub is up the road a bit and a great place to eat, drink and listen to some great music.
