The town has few accommodation places so we "bit the bullet" and paid $US170 for a night. What we received was outstanding hospitality. It included a guided choice of rooms and the one we selected was first class...kingsize bed, superb bathroom facilities, access to a huge loungeroom and kitchenette and just gracious old-world standards. We really appreciated the opportunity to... more

This is pretty much a perfect place to stay in Montpelier, and one of the best experiences we had whilst touring New England. Our room was in the white house opposite the main building: it was tastefully decorated with an amazingly comfortable bed, and the air conditioning was just right - and silent! In fact, despite being on a route... more

We recently spent a night with friends at the Inn at Montpelier. We selected this location based on their web site and Trip Advisor reviews. Our reservations were for a pair of deluxe rooms in the White House adjacent to the main Inn. We arrived in the later part of the afternoon and was cheerfully greeted by one of the... more

We stayed at the inn for 7 days in one of their top-priced rooms. We spent over $200 per night on a very lovely room. We were put in the secondary building and not able to enjoy the architecture of the main house. The upside was that the building had a private pantry and a separate entrance which should have... more

Friendly and helpful service. Room was quite small, but adequate and with very quite air-con by most hotel standards. Overall the place was a bit quait and old fashioned. Breakfast was good, helping yourself to a range fo homemade cakes, scones etc, alongside fruit, cereal, bagels etc. more

A wonderful stay at The Inn. We were visiting relatives who live in Montpelier, and this happened to be around the corner ! It is on the main drag, very convenient yo everything. Lovely large house with beautfiul sitting areas, inside and out. Wonderful, friendly service. Great breakfast included. Lovely room. Very nice experience. more

We really enjoyed our stay here and the delicious buffet breakfast. The room, bed and bathroom were very comfortable and it was easy to walk into Montpellier from the inn. more

I grew up in Montpelier and visit once a year and always stay at the Inn at Montpelier. It truly puts other B&Bs to shame, from the antique but unfussy decor to the outstanding breakfast. The scones (from the nearby New England Culinary Institute) are simply to die for. Top them with inkeeper Rita's homemade lemon curd and fruit jams... more

We stayed here once before a few years back and remembered the wonderful wraparound porch, cookies in the kitchen and comfy rooms correctly. We also remembered to book a table at the NECI restaurant (Main Street Grill) which is a short walk away and still great. Therefore we are quite sad to have a write a bad review about this... more
