We stayed in the excellent Norwich B&B up the hill for 3 nights, but we came to the Norwich Inn to eat every evening. It was always too busy for us to eat in the dining room, but we didn't care: the bar area at the back was extremely welcoming and the food just as good. The people who work... more

This is a nice "old house" hotel. We knew there was construction in back (new suites and buildings, should be done by March, 2010) so we asked for a room on the front side. We stayed on the third floor (no elevator, BTW). Norwich is a busy little town, so there is a fair amount of traffic at certain times... more

We had two fine nights in a charming Deluxe room with a shaker style four poster bed with canopy. The antique furnishings gave the room real character. Much nicer than most New Eng land B&Bs. The bathroom was a blast back to 1964, but clean and functional. (I really hate those PC notices telling me to reuse my towels so... more

We appreciate the kind words about our beer and the Main Inn but feel some clarification is warranted about our new construction. The building is in its early stages and it is a far cry from the finished product (it should be done by around March 1st). We have spared no expense in designing it as a high quality building....

As a midwestern guy traveling to Vermont for the first time, I could not have chosen a better place to make my first stay. The atmosphere of the Inn with its welcoming front porch, quaint and tidy rooms, delightful pub, and amazing home brewery was more than I ever expected. I had dinner in the Pub and Main Dining room... more

We stayed at the Inn when we visited Dartmouth with our grandson and we wish we had stayed longer. The Inn is warm and charming. The staff and the owners are delightful - -friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful in planning local activities. We had a delicious dinner out on the patio. The menu is varied & there is something to... more

If you plan to stay at the Norwich Inn during the summer of 2009 be aware that they are undergoing a major building project which means the construction vehicles begin roaring past your windows at 7am. And, if you're lucky they'll shut the electricity off at 9am, two hours before check out time. (Which seemed rude to us since they... more

First, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused this guest during her stay. We do want to clarify that yes, we are undertaking a construction project in the back of the property which will add 22 new rooms but to aviod a noise issue, we have begun each weekday at 9AM and end at 5PM when most of our guests...

I visited The Norwich Inn (Norwich, Vermont; minutes from Dartmouth College across the Connecticut River) and was impressed and delighted with all it offered. My room was attractive, comfortable and it seemed the bath was recently restored, a real plus in a quaint, historic building where, in other old Inns, baths are often "original", i.e., small, poorly lit and in... more

Since the old owners left, this place has become over priced...BIG TIME!!! The rooms are definitely not worth the cost! The food is severely overpriced! Especially in the dinning room! They should try finding a real chef and learn how to train their waitstaff properly...(i.e. The Pub Waitstaff) The beer was FANTASTIC! Other than that, not worth going there. Do... more

Spent the weekend at the Norwich Inn and had a great time. The room (we stayed in the main inn), while dated, was clean, the bed was great, and they had nice fluffy towels. The rooms also have nice flat screen TV's. The place has a nice pub where they serve their own beer; made on premise. The pub also... more
