This was our 2nd trip to Smuggs. We also went in June of 2008. We have 2 kids: 4 and 6. We love Smuggs because they have free camps for the kids. There are so many kids that participate that they are able to divide the kids by age. The camp staff is great, genuinely excited to be with the... more

We had a large, modern, well-maintained 3 BR unit. The grounds were impeccable and the resort had excellent facilities. There's lots to do in the vicinity, including great hiking and excellent restaurants. We highly recommend the resort. more

Upon receipt of the resort’s brochures and information obtained on their web site, we were initially very impressed with the extensive activities and amenities catering to families with young children. It was for this reason, that we booked a September get-a-way with the kids. We arrived on a Friday night and checked in as planned. The staff was informative, advising... more

We had a great time at Smuggler's Notch. We (two parents and a six-year-old boy) stayed for three nights and both my husband and son wanted to stay longer. They have so many programs and activities that we were on the go from 8:30 in the morning until 8:30 at night. We took part in nature hikes, played miniature golf,... more

We spent 6 nights here in July\Aug 2009 with our two kids (8 and 12). It’s probably the first family vaca where there wasn’t one bit of stress involved. No cramming four people into a little hotel room, no having to turn off the lights and TV at 9:00 so the kids could fall asleep, none of the usual inconveniences... more

I was a bit concerned since I read mixed reviews concerning the properties at this resort. We are fairly spoiled in terms of our hotel selection so wasn't sure what to expect. Based on prior reviews we booked a premium suite ... great choice! These are fairly new time share units that are maintained by the resort. We got a... more

We found Smuggler's Notch perfect for our family vacation. We stayed for a week in August in a 3 bd 2 bath condo. We have 2 young children - ages 3 and 15 months. The accommodations were pretty clean (hey, it is the mountains) and the cleaning service worked with our schedule for the whole week - coming in each... more

We reached the Smugglers Notch following a reccomendation in a book. Initially we were reluctant about going because of the price quoted on the phone; but the kids were getting restless after 1.5 weeks on the road and we wanted to treat them (and us) to some quality resort time with all the perks. The walk in rate was considerably... more

After receiving the promotional DVD from the resort and all the hype/advertising on their website I was very skeptical. But after staying their for 5 days myself, my wife and I were very impressed. Most importantly, we stayed at Smugglers Notch with our 22 month daughter and made use of their Treasures daycare for a 3 of the 5 days.... more

We had planned this trip for about 2 yrs so we couldnt wait to get to Smugglers Notch Resort. Since we live in an area that can get pretty hot during the summer, we were happy to get away from the flames of this summer. Vermont is a beautiful state, as we noted, and driving to Smugglers Notch was even... more
