We stayed at the Hartness House Inn to attend the wedding of our close friends. Hotel staff was very friendly and incredibly accommodating and the food was great. The location and scenic backdrop of the inn were perfect and the rates were very reasonable. Would definitely stay there again. more

After a year of poor health and stress we decided a weekend away to see the foliage might do us some good. What a wonderful surprise awaited us in this turn of the century inn! This Inn is really worth a stay. My father and sister were visiting from Scotland and we had a great time. The staff were wonderful and the food was superb. The Hartness House used to be an elegant hotel. Once a beautiful private home in a lovely setting, it became a stately hotel. Sadly, not any more. The current owners have allowed it to run down. Everything needs a facelift, repair or replacement. What a shame. more

We booked the Hartness House's "Elopement Ceremony" Wedding Package--everything sight unseen, and we couldn't have had a better experience. The initial preparation over the internet was easy; the staff was responsive to special requests (small wedding cake); and their website had a wedding planner that had all necessary info for stress-free preparation. My daughter had her wedding reception at the Hartness House, and if it wasnt such a glorious event the experience would have been a total disaster. The owners? managers?
