We booked in originally for just one the night but decided to stay a second night after seeing the room. It was spotlessly clean and well furnished, in lovely grounds and the staff were really helpful and friendly. We definitely intend to stay there when we visit Stowe again. more

Mature couple on a three week tour of New England - our accommodation was great, stayed in room with kitchen. Very close to Stowe Village ( a 45 minute walk away or 15 minute cycle), we made use of the free bikes - beautiful scenery. Hotel etc has 16 acres of ground. Outdoor badminton, free raquets and shuttles in a... more

Don't let the name fool you; this "motel" is much better than it lets on. My buddies and I stayed at the Stowe Motel in their Chalet House (standalone house, 2bed,2bath) for a winter '09 shredfest. The house was spacious (think good-sized house with relatively up-to-date appliances, not tiny, dilapidated shack), clean, and had full amenities (love the fireplace on... more

We very much liked the Stowe motel. We made the mistake of booking a hotel room with 2 queen beds rather than an efficiency--we have 2 small children and the basic room was small, and worse still, very musty! (Continental breakfast--the reason we went with a basic room--was good.) So the next morning we asked if we could switch into... more

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate. Breakfast decent. Bikes were there to be used by guests. The motel is right on the Stowe Recreation Path which is beautiful. It's close to all the Stowe attractions, but it is very private and set well back from the road. Very nice, reasonably priced property. more

This hotel has been family run for more than 30 years. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The houses for rent are amazing, right on the river. There is a tennis court and complimentary bikes to use on the adjoining bike path. If you want to stay in Stowe Village at a reasonable price, you can't beat the Stowe... more

Where to start? We've been taking family vacations here for years, and love it every time. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and there are activities on grounds for the whole family. A tennis court, badminton, hammocks, two nice heated pools, a game room with ping pong and pool, four holes of golf on the very large lawn, horseshoes, cricket...there... more

Granted it was Pres. Day Weekend but I got a room for Xmas week in Colorado at a Best Western that destroys this Motel in every aspect for $109. This place is a two star establishment at best; the whole establishment really could use some updating. Everything in there was old except for the linens. Be wary of noisy college... more

We stayed here in December '08 - our large group rented the "Riverside House". It is a 4 bedroom house, with plenty of room for 10-12 people. You would be hard pressed to find anything else in Stowe (house or condo) to sleep so many people so affordably. That being said, it is good basic accomodations without frills. The furniture,... more

Booked 3 rooms direct by email from the UK after reading reviws on Trip Advisor. No probllem at all. Good sized, comfortable and clean well appointed rooms. Good restaurant within walking distance but take a torch as the road is unlit for part of the way. A free continental breakfast is available but there is only about 4 tables to... more
