This was our first visit to Vermont, and Carolyn and Bill Cook were so warm and welcoming! The Inn and Lodge rooms are a combination of modern luxury and quaint old fashioned coziness. We had a fire in our wood burning stove, Bill recommended a great local pub for dinner, and Carolyn cooked up a fabulous breakfast in the morning.... more

We were disappointed when we first saw the place, however once in the big house we were pleased with our room. It is overpriced for what it is. The best part was breakfast. One of the best on our trip. Also there was a lovely walking trail up the road about 1/2 a mile that ran by a stream. It's... more

Our hosts Carolyn and Bill run two establishments in which they have decorated charmingly in Vermont Style. They are excellent hosts always willing to help you enjoy your stay in Vermont. My husband and I have stayed frequently in the Motel and each time we return we are welcomed with open arms. The rooms are spotless, cozy, comfortable and so... more

We stayed just one night in the jacuzzi suite. It was wonderful! We had a busy day in Stowe and found the suite clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeepers were awsome. They were there when we needed them, but never hovering. The food was great! Trevor is a good cook, breakfast to order. Carolyn makes really good muffins. Bill,... more

I'll start by saying that, while Trip Advisor can be a handy way of getting information about lodging, it can also be misleading if you just read the first or 2nd reviews on the list. Sometimes you just get a laundry list of people's gripes that, had they notified the innkeeper, would have been resolved quickly and professionally. In the... more

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my stay at the Honeywood Inn in July this year. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and friendly with an ease that made me feel as though it was a home away from home. The owners were most accommodating and went out of their way to make me feel so welcomed... more

My son and I have been going to Stowe for years and we always go to the Honeywood Inn. Bill, Carolyn and their son Trevor never fail to make us feel right at home. The breakfasts are better than home and the after skiing snacks and homemade apple cider are always appreciated after enjoying the slopes of Mt. Mansfield. I... more

This location has much potential but needs a significant makeover to bring it up to advertised standards. It is owned by a family that appear to do much of the upkeep themselves. There are two buildings, one called an inn (which is a victorian building) and the other a lodge (which is really a strip motel from the 1960's era.... more

We were disappointed with our stay at the Honeywood Inn. The pool was not available because the heater wasn't turned on. The TV in the main room,we could not get to work. They charged for a bottle of water. The room had no shampoo in the bathrooms. The corners of the entry way had spider webs. It hasn't been updated... more
