Let me start by saying I know it's a historic inn, and it's very old. I expected that. I was unimpressed with the service, however. Brian, was very nice and showed us to our room. That is where the service stopped. We were never asked how our stay was going, the woman at breakfast barely cracked a smile. Breakfast was... More

Like many others, we had a Living Social deal that we used for a nice snowboarding weekend at Mt. Snow. Phil, the innkeeper, was very kind and showed us around the inn when we arrived. We stayed in the Green Mountain Room which was perfect for us...the fireplace made everything so nice and cozy. The dinner we had was yummy,... More

I stayed at the Inn in mid-January to go snowboarding at Mount Snow. I've never stayed at an Inn before, and I was very pleased with my stay. Upon checking in, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They walked us to our room and showed us around the Inn. We got to the Inn fairly late on Friday evening,... More

Like many of the guests at the West Dover Inn, we were visiting on the Living Social package. Not sure if this made a difference, but thought it should be mentioned. First the positives. The Inn Keeper - Phil - is a very nice man. He is warm and makes you feel welcome at the Inn. He is very knowledgeable... More

We spent a couple of nights here just to relax. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Phil, the inn keeper, was very helpful and provided directions to attractions in the area as well as local color. The inn is historic so floors are not even, which added to the charm. Our room had a gas fireplace which kept... More

An historic Vermont Inn, West Dover is run by Phil and his family. He and staff are congenial and helpful with travel tips - especially helpful since some roads were still under repair - and a box lunch in a cooler. The rooms are clean and neat but could use some upgrading. We had a front upstairs room/bath which was... More

You'll get a map to some great shopping, hiking, kayaking or just a pretty waterfall. Free breakfast was very tasty. More

We spent two nights at the West Dover inn and we would recommend it to others. The innkeeper Phil knew the surrounding area very well (and we did find the secret swimming hole), and the staff was friendly. The room (Garden Room) was comfortable. More

We very much enjoyed our recent stay at the West Dover Inn, located in a beautiful part of Vermont surrounded by many wonderful local restaurants. But the roast duckling offered at the 1846 Tavern in the West Dover Inn is the best I've had in years and we all want to applaud Kyle Garell's outstanding preparation. In addition, the inn... More
