I have stayed at many B&Bs in my day, and the reason my wife and I keep seeking them out is simple: the friendly service and wonderful human interaction that you get while staying at them. DO NOT EXPECT SUCH FRIENDLINESS or WARM HUMAN INTERACTION at Mariah's at Tower Hill B&B!!!

From the moment we arrived, the proprietor was surly and rude to us, as if we had inconvenienced him by staying at his establishment. Efforts to engage him in the friendly chit-chat that is usually the stock-and-trade of the B&B industry were met with curt responses and pregnant silences. Simply put, we felt awkward in his presence, to the point of wanting to leave.

The rooms at this establishment (at least the one we stayed in) were also sub-par and uncomfortable. Most B&B beds are quite cozy and regal, adorned with fine linens, thick mattresses, and the like.
