My wife and I stayed for Family Weekend at UVA. We enjoy staying at B&B's and looked forward to seeing our daughter and having a romantic get away. When it was all said and done, I can only say it was mediocre at best. The weekend began with a phone call from our hosts asking if we would be there... more

Stayed in their Stonewall Jackson suite - superb room. Owner/Host and staff were very welcoming and made special efforts to ensure we enjoyed our stay (special breakfast etc.) Food was great, amonst which was chef Karl Bock's excellent Roast Garlic Bisque! The food was good at breakfast, lunch and dinner! The hotel is just 2 minutes walk to the bustling... more

I found this B&B to be quite nice and the service to be not only acceptable but quite friendly and relaxed! I often stay at B&Bs as I travel alone for business. On this occasion, I traveled with a colleague. Her room was very nice, though I admit, I think I got the loveliest room in the house though. Both... more

Many parts of this visit were splendid. The house is standard old B&B with overstuffed chairs and whatnot. The bed was comfortable although I had to stand on the bed with a book to reach the ceiling vent to close it because it was truly frigid in the room. The staff was quite accomodating. Breakfast was splendid although it apparently... more

I recently spent a wonderful week at the Inn at Court Square. The room I had (John Kelly) was lovely and extremely comfortable. Candace the owner was very friendly, helpful, and accomodating. The breakfast was excellent - both the quiche and the croissant bread pudding. You can't beat the location if you need access to downtown as it is a... more

Wife and I decided to leave the kids with the grandparents and have a nice weekend alone. The Inn turned out to be the perfect location. Close to the downtown mall - which was very nice - and within walking distance to UVA. The room (Edward Butler) was beautiful, with many of the antiques for purchase - which suited us... more

I arrived in Charlottesville, anxiously anticipating my stay at this historic house that's been transformed into a delightful B&B. After my trip cross-country from California, where most everything is less than authentic, I was completely won-over by the charm of both this establishment and by that of the Innkeeper/owner, Candace, and her staff. It was downright cold that first week... more

The location is great for walking to Downtown, the Innkeeper is kind and the rooms are done very well, but for the price, we were definitely disappointed. Breakfast wasn't until 9 am, with no hint of coffee for an early bird. When finally laid out, there was no one around and all we saw available were muffins, granola, yogurt, cottage... more

This inn was perfect. I loved its setting, in the oldest part of Charlottesville, with the Inn itself of a dignified age (built in 1785), so you felt a sense of the history of the place. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, and the staff and The Inn Keeper and made us feel really at home, with graceful Southern style.... more

My sister and I spent three nights at Charlottesville's Inn at Court Square and savored every moment of our stay there. We were visiting this charming little city to indulge our interest in Thomas Jefferson and his stunning Monticello. Our goal was to find an inn with authentic history (ideally from Jefferson's own era ) but that was also luxurious... more
