Despite some of the previous reviews that the hotel was hard to find, we didn't have any problem...perhaps we read the reviews which told us how to find the hotel. For us the hotel was ideally located, just a traffic light away from Starbucks, Whole Foods Market, cheap gas, one of the parks we wanted to visit, and not far... more

This Fairfield Inn is fair at best. Noisy air conditioner (note that they were replacing the a/c units while we stayed there). Front desk was indifferent . . . couldn't find reservation at first even though I had reservation number. Applebee's in the same parking lot. Room had frig and microwave. Wired internet in the room. Computer with printer in... more

The hotel was in a newer business area close to a somewhat upscale covered mall. There are several chain restaurants nearby and the hotel was easy to find if you've never been to Charlottesville before. It is in an accessible location for Hwy 64 and the University. If you want to visit the downtown area, it is not far; very... more

We had never stayed here before and would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. It is in a noisy area and has noisy a/c units and at times has noisy plumbing. There is limited parking. Our room had bugs on the wall! Housekeeping in very lax - don't count on getting washcloths every day and they may... more

Stayed here overnight while attending a sport event at UVA. I would echo the other posters here who said it was hard to find, my GPS kept telling me I had arrived but I couldn't see the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and a good price. Didn't eat breakfast there, there's a Whole Foods and a Starbucks just up... more

Staff was courteous, especially the woman overseeing the complimentary breakfast. Things were clean, and the place is convenient to local sites in Charlottesville and surrounds. As others have noted, this place is not easy to find, especially if you arrive after dark. The secret is to turn onto Blanchlands Blvd. from Hwy. 29 (by Applebees), and look for Food Lion... more

My husband and I stayed here for a football weekend. This property really needs updating. While the lobby area was fine-- our room was very worn. For example, the bed was uncomfortable, the drain in the tub was clogged, the trim was actually falling off in some areas of the room. If possible we would not choose to stay at... more

We stayed here for one night on our recent travels through Virginia and thought it was just fine as a stopover. We found everything to be very clean and well taken care of. The location was convenient but a bit difficult to find initially. It's located behind a Food Lion and is not easily spotted from the road. The front... more

We went to Charlottesville to look at cities for future retirement, and stayed 2 days on this trip. We found the hotel staff very considerate and helpful, the room was nice and pretty quiet. Our only concerns were that it was a bit difficult to find initially, and the bathroom needed a cleaning to remove some minor mold from the... more

This is an average hotel. We had stayed here before in the mid 90s and it seems about the same. The room was pretty clean although the bathroom could have used some extra attention as the shower curtain looked dirty or molded in spots. The continental breakfast was fine except it was crowded and not enough seating- the first morning... more
