This B&B is a 2 min car ride downtown and approximately 15 mins from monticello. We stayed in the Master BR which was fairly large and had a very nicely styled Bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The price was more than I wanted to spend but it was still less than almost every other B&B in the area. Susan cooked... more

We came to Va. from NH for a tour of UVA with our daughter. We searched for two rooms, good location and reasonably priced, and we more than found what we were looking for here. Susan and Jeff were full of helpful suggestions, and served a DELICIOUS breakfast! We walked to the UVA football game among many fans dressed in... more

My family had an unexpected guest arrive from France and we had the good fortune to find the Leather-Snyder Bed and Breakfast to host her for a week. We chose the B&B because of the family-like atmosphere and the wonderfully restored interior which made our relative fee right at home. Susan was very accommodating and saw to it that our... more

The house was in a fairly run down area and was in fact next to a plumbers merchants and very close to a Salvation Army building (there was a rough sleeper in the doorway, which made us feel uncomfortable as we walked past). The house was within relatively easy walking distance of the town. The garden of the house was very... more

We are an urban Bed and Breakfast located in the city, as stated on our website. Any lodging within walking distance to the downtown in any city is going to take one through areas of commerce and by people of different socio-economic levels. Of the four B&Bs in the city, we are the most affordable. The nearly 120 year-old porch...

Location's the drawing card for this property. Cannot agree with complaints registered by other visitors: If one is uncomfortable with "questionable people" (sic) walking down the street, then move into a gated community and vacation at Disney World. Also, the gripes about an untidy backyard are just too arch. As far as the decor is concerned, it's a pretty eclectic... more

We traveled to C-ville for the U2 concert and stayed one night at the Leathers-Snyder Bed and Breakfast. Susan and Jeff were very welcoming. The house was clean and updated nicely. It was the perfect location as we were able to walk to Scott Stadium- -only a 20 minute walk. Our friends who stayed elsewhere had difficulty finding a taxi... more

My husband and I blazed into C-ville for one night for a wedding and chose this B&B based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. I would recommend this B&B with the disclaimer that it may be noisy at night. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Modern ammenities have been incorporated nicely with this historic property. We stayed in the... more

A great experience in a wonderful location; our visit is the first of many since our nephew has located to the Charlottesville area. Jeff and Susan and their daughter were fantastic hosts and made this a great experience. Do to our stay overlapping other guests requirements, we had the luxury of initially staying in the first floor room, a very... more

We were pleasantly surprised to when we arrived on motorcycles in the rain to see Jeff and Susan waiting for us. They told us we could park in the back to keep our bikes dry. They immediately made us feel at home and gave suggestions on restaurants and nightline within walking distance as we were ready to walk not ride!... more

My wife and I chose Leathers-Snyder Inn Bed and Breakfast from a list of B&Bs in Charlottesville that we did not know. I had a little bit of business at the Medical School and then we wanted to hang out for an evening and morning to explore. What a wonderful place to stumble across. The house is beautifully restored Victorian... more
