The room looked clean upon entry but we were immediately aware of a very bad odor . I think it was the carpet and there were stains on it but I'm not sure of the source of the terrible smell (smelled like a dirty litter box). My family and I stayed at the Sea Hawk for 6 days. The rooms were clean and the location is great. The owner of the hotel is a gem and was extremely accomodating. Made some phone calls while driving up the coast to Chincoteague. Was told they had a room for $85, but when I arrived, that room was gone. So I was offered a 1 BR efficiency for only $100 (normally $115), so I took it - and good thing, as Saturday evening, the Sea Hawk had a "NO VACANCY" sign out.... more
