Smooth, quick check-in. Staff very friendly. 2 story property, no elevator. Room was clean and comfortable. TV channel selection OK. No real desk with a rolling chair, just a table with 2 straight chairs. Fridge, but no microwave. Coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. Bathroom was clean. Not many good choices in Farmville, VA so my recommendation is that you try not to stay in this town if at all possible! We requested a non-smoking room but when we turned on the fan in the bathroom, the room filled with smoke smells. Very worn hotel - bathrooms need updating. No real lobby. So even though tried to book like 10 months in advance I was unable to get a reservation at the #1 hotel in Farmville. I was able to secure a room at the #2 Comfort Inn. I stayed at the Comfort Inn over the weekend while doing some shopping at Greenfront in Farmville. This place was really bad. The linens on one bed had clearly not been changed as evidenced by several strands of hair. The front desk manager did come up immediately and provide us with new sheets for the bed but that was it.... more
