I stay here every once in a while on business. There are still tube tv's in big armoires in the rooms. The wallpaper was peeling in my room as well.
The thermostats in the rooms are not digital and could be updated. The hallways were freezing cold (January 2012).
The staff is always super friendly, and the restaurant is on...

This hotel is in much need of repair and renovation. The room I stayed it had wall paper coming off the wall, stains on the ottoman, and stains on the curtains. It is a dirty hotel and management does not seem to care that the hotel is dated and dirty. I would recommend staying at the Westin nearby or the...

We normally travel exclusively for leisure and our Marriott choices are Residence Inns and Springhills. My wife had a rare business trip and her employer booked this location. I was along for company and had read TA reviews prior to the trip and had serious doubts.
The check in agent growled that he needed a credit card and said nothing...

I attended the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Paralegal Seminar here this week. Excellent facility, perfect service and delicious food!! A lovely array of breakfast goodies greeted the seminar attendees--bagels, fruit and cinnamon danish and muffins were available to all along with coffee, tea and four different kinds of juices. Soda was provided in an open-front mini-fridge and the huge bowl...

Decent, but dated Marriott. Corporately owned by a hotel management group that seems to be out of touch with customer value and service. Unless you are a gold or platinum Marriott reward member, there are no perks-concierge lounge, free Internet, etc. And considering that this hotel is dated, with peeling wallpaper in the guest rooms, old tube TV's, and noisy...

Great location, nice restaurants nearby, clean but I had to pay $10 for WiFi. I was at a Best Western 2 weeks later and WiFi was free. Maybe I'm spoiled but $10 is just too much for Wifi.

We were in town for a wedding and I was impressed how nice everyone at the hotel was. We usually stay at Marriott's, but the staff at this hotel were extraordinary! When we arrived, we had been assigned a room next to the elevator and in my experience, those rooms tend to be a little noisier - so I requested...

My husband is a Platinum member with Marriott, so we utilized points to pay for our stay on Friday & Saturday (9/9 - 9/12) to attend the NASCAR races in town. We checked in quickly and efficiently on 9/9 around 3:30pm, and we upgrades to the concierge level (which didn't really matter, as it was closed for the weekend anyway)....
