We had been traveling for a month with many stops in B&B's and hotels along the way .. with a number of reviews written on this trip.

This very lovely inn on substantial property, provided outdoor porches as well as enclosed porch. The rooms are not huge, but are beautifully appointed. Although at first glance they are "just nice period rooms" upon closer inspection you will find that the furniture is not reproductions, the fixtures in the baths are top quality, and the new air/heat units are top notch units individually controlled with a remote control which can easily be changed while in bed.

The beds are exceptionally comfortable, with a yummy soft "down" topper, and top quality bedding. Bath linen also quality.

Since I am one who defines every town by the food I had (and if it was not memorable, neither was the town) -- this facit of the Inn is most memorable. The hostess is quite a cook!! She makes a different breakfast... more
