Wonderful B&B. We stayed in the front room with the hot tub and brought our dog. The dog loved the huge llama farm, which borders an even bigger fox hunt ranch (which guests have access to) and loved playing with the owners dog Sammy. The room itself was a little plain, but it did feature a sun room, hot tub... more

I chose this location because they had the best pictures. I loved the way the inn looked online. I was celebrating a birthday and wanted to stay at a location that was close to some good hiking. When I drove to the inn I started getting worried, I thought oh my did I make the right choice. The inn was... more

The llamas, the hillside, the flowers, the pool - everything made for a charming scene. Our family of 3 stayed in the quilter's room on the first floor. The room itself and the bathroom were very spacious, and we had our own private porch. There was also a large common area full of books and games. Breakfast (fresh fruit, whole... more

Didn't find the innkeepers as warm and friendly as other guests seem to have. But all was worth the magnificent views of the... more

This is the most unique B&B I have ever stayed in. It is totally secluded in a beautiful area just south of Lexington, VA. The rooms are clean, well-kept and very comfortable. I slept like a baby every night. The owners are very nice and helpful. The breakfasts are also very healthy and yummy. The pool, hot-tub and private showers... more

Just returned from a weekend trip to Lexington, Virginia where we stayed at the Applewood Inn. The Inn is beautiful and the property is gorgeous. This is a place for animal and people lovers! The llamas are intriguing creatures, and there are two great dogs that will keep you company as you roam the hills around the inn. The owners... more

Very, very nice. The three of us shared a large room on the first floor with a big bed and a twin--plenty of space, beautifully decorated. The bath was large and had a whirlpool tub. Outdoors there are a wonderful garden and delightful pool--we spent most of one day there. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. As for the llama trek,... more
