My husband and I stayed at the Magnolia House Inn last weekend for the first time, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is a beautiful 1800's home on Main Street in Lexington, within walking distance of downtown. We stayed in the Sunshine Room, which was upstairs - a very clean, bright, and cozy room, facing the street. The... more

We enjoyed the whole experience - the quaint inn with very comfortable and clean rooms, delicious breakfasts and nice touches such as refrigerated water bottles, coffee, wifi, etc. In the heart of Lexington, it allows for walking into town and easy access to Washington and Lee University. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were pleasantly surprised. We would recommend... more

It was amazing to experience a Haven of rest in the middle of a busy college weekend. It was so refreshing! The general spirit of the place, the decor, the gracious innkeepers, Tim & Jan, and all the little touches that went into every room, every breakfast etc made us spoiled. It really will be very difficult to go ANY... more

This is a comfortable historic B&B (built 1868) operated by a friendly husband and wife team. The rooms are well appointed with traditional furniture and antiques befitting the buildings historic status. There is plenty of outside seating for summer days and the breakfast...ohhh...the breakfast is delicious. I really enjoyed by time there and would have no hesitation in going back more

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Magnolia House Inn. It was everything it should have been: beautiful rooms, fancy breakfast, nice location, friendly and very considerate hosts. I especially enjoyed the "conservatory" off the Shenandoah suite, where I did some writing. more

We stayed at the Magnolia House on Saturday, August 2, and had a lovely time. Tim and Jan are excellent hosts and our room was really nice. It was comfortable, clean and pretty. There was a great upstairs porch for guests to use and drinks and snacks provided for guests just inside the porch. We appreciated Tim and Jan's restaurant... more

The Magnolia House Inn was beautiful and quaint. It is in walking distance to town and some very good restaurants. The owners, Jan and Tim, were more than gracious. The breakfasts each morning were the best I have had at any B & B. The rooms were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Magnolia House. more

My wife and I sought a B&B via the internet for our first trip to Lexington--and stumbled on a fountain of wonderful experiences. A very gracious and friendly couple, Tim and Jan (the innkeepers) welcomed us warmly yet efficiently, answering questions about local attractions, offering suggestions, and even making dinner reservations for us. Extra touches (such as a jar of... more

We found the Magnolia House Inn to be very warm and inviting. Our room, the Garden Room, was cozy and very comfortable. In the evenings we relaxed in the parlor and read or checked our email using our laptop. Breakfast was great. Our hosts really made an effort to cater to our needs (food allergies) and prepared a fantastic table... more
