I highly recommend the Garden Resort for value-oriented travellers. The grounds are beautiful, the pool and tanning area is great and the staff are very friendly. Staying at the Garden Resort was a pleasant surprise. The trip from Bangkok to the resort was approximately 6 hours by minibus. Even though we stayed during the rainy season, there was still plenty to see and do. We had a few days of heavy rain but also lots of sunshine and warm weather. This hotel was in nice surroundings, but suffers from being on the street away from the sea. The rooms were also a bit damp. more
