The stay was exactly what we were expecting with one exception - the rooms could use fans as it can get hot when the lake breeze dies down. The rooms were clean. There is no A/C or TV (A/C is not needed - the same could b argued about TV as well).

This is a beautiful house / retreat that was converted from a private residence into a hotel. The staff is exceptional - Francisco the boat driver and Maritza the cook are both very nice to interact with. The food had a very local flair and was good.

Since they only allow one set of guests at the hotel, it is a little more expensive, but the exclusivity of having your own private island, chef and boat driver sure makes this a memorable experience.

The patio overlooks the private (shallow) pool, and overlooks Mombacho Volcano which is beautiful.
