B & B "Louis et Marguerite" is a beautifully renovated fishermans-cottage. The house - maison de Bourg from 1875 - is situated in the centre of Arromanches, 100 metres from the beach. The house is equipped with all the comfort and the beautifully walled garden offers an oasis of calmness. We give the Veterans like the other guests a warm and friendly welcome.

Clean, welcoming accommodation with helpful, friendly hosts. The rooms are ideally situated in Arromanches, minutes to walk to the centre of town with all amenities available. We experienced a warm welcome and a lovely stay. Thank you Hans & Myriam :-)

I was one of 4 pedal cyclists doing a tour of the D Day landings, I chose Arromanches as a base for our exploration of the landing beaches. Booking the bed and breakfast was easy, Hans and I kept in contact in the months proceeding or trip, he said he had a 4 man room ensuite for us. On our arrival we found our room was above his private D Day museum. The room was clean, and the shower one of the best I've used. Our bikes were stored in secluded alleyway next to the museum, the main restaurants being only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was continental and hearty, our host was chatty and full of information. An excellent stay all round

We were hosted by the colourful Hans and would do it again anytime ! His sense of service and cheerfulness, along with his knowledge of the world now and before, are a rare treat even during the shortest of stay. Make sure to save some time to visit his museum and have a chat about his travels !

We arrived after a very long drive and didn't have a particularly warm welcome. The accommodation should not be recommended especially for a family. The stairs to the room were so dangerous and steep. The room we stayed in the 'poppy' room needed finishing off, the standard was very poor. One of our towels had brown stains on it. The standard of the bathroom / ensuite was beyond words! We were meant to stay 2 nights; however only stayed one and wouldn't have stayed at all had we been able to find a hotel. I purposely didn't write my review at the B&B as I needed to calm down as I am not one to use bad language. The breakfast was pleasant; however the stay really ended on an even more sour note as Hans charged us half the cost for the second night that we didn't stay. To summarise - way over price, very poor standard and would never recommend it to anyone. Forgot to mention that the rooms are above the museum and next to the pub, the noise went on until 3am.…

On a motorcycle tour with my dad and uncle to the normandie beaches and came across Hans B&B passing through the village-straight away we recognised his hospitality and relaxed enthusiasm as any good host possesses! We stayed in the attic with its own en suite to a very high standard, 5 seperate beds well maintained and clean with a definite "in the attic feel" which was a great adventure!! We enjoyed the company and surroundings in arromanches so much we decided to stay extra nights! A pleasure to stay in this beautiful B&B with an exceptionally nice family and host - would stay again and highly recommend staying there to friends and family!

Stayed here when touring on motorbike, found it by luck through recommendation by British B&B owner nearby. it is a converted old fisherman's cottage so quaint and historic with a lovely little courtyard at the back. The place is very tastefully decorated and homely. Hans, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. He is also starting a museum in the village for veterans memorabilia (which he is immensely proud of). The two rooms on the first floor share a bathroom, which is fine as it is not a big place, and the bathroom is nicely furnished and equipped. Really nice experience which I hope to repeat soon.
