I stayed here with friends and family and found the hotel more than met our needs. It is a little out of town but the taxi wasn't too expensive and the drivers know the best places to drop you off. The whole feel is of an American motel but the friendly family service added that bit extra. Some of this... more

The hotel is well situated for the D-day beaches at Arromanches and also Bayeux for the Tapestry and Cathedral, with both being only minutes away. The welcome we received was efficient but cool, and our room was practical and nicely laid out with tile floor & pastel blue walls but was very clean and presented itself very well on first... more

Situated some 8K north of Bayeux, hotel La Rosiere is ideally located for touring the DDay Landing beaches and cemetaries, sightseeing in Bayeux or Caen, and for exploring further east from Deauville to Honfleur. Set amongst manicured gardens and with ample car-parking (even for campervans), our challet-style room was comfortable, well-appointed and immaculately clean; our towels were changed every day... more

Wonderful holiday beautiful grounds and countryside, the owners were lovely helpful people, breakfast offered a nice variety and plenty of it. The rooms are very basic but clean with a TV, (only BBC World Wide news in English). I found four things that irritated me, however, you may not find all an irritation: 1. the rubber sheeting protecting the mattress... more

If you're looking for even the bare minimum of a nights' sleep just don't consider La Rosiere. It's not a hotel, but a collection of seventies-built breeze-block and stud-work sheds, so cramped and with such thin walls that we learned all about the private life of some lonely middle-aged woman as she gabbled on her mobile into the small hours,... more

This is a roadside motel type facility with about 10 rooms. The hotel would have been much better if only the rooms were updated. The room was clean but it was very tired. The bed was sagging considerably and the furniture was spartan. The grounds were well kept and attractive. There is a manager's area with restaurant space for breakfast... more

Being 'middle aged' and having travelled from the UK with a 'Normandy Veteran' and wife we didn't know what to expect. The Hotel is out of Arromanches so a car is required but it is an ideal setting, quiet with lovely grounds to the rear. It is a modern looking hotel, we stayed in the chalet rooms and found them... more

Quiet hotel with outside space to enjoy the sunshine in beautiful gardens. 5 mins out of Arromanches, 15 mins from Bayeaux. Not cheap but you get what you pay for in surroundings and views. more

This is the second time we've used Logis De France chain of family run hotels. We are very impressed with them, this was a 3 chimney,2 star hotel . The standards are very high, exceptionally clean, with very comfortable rooms and plenty of hot water. The host Nadine speaks very good english and is very helpful. The location is a five minute drive... more

We stayed in a family room for 4 nights on our way back from our main holiday in Brittany - wanting to visit some World War 2 Museums for our daughters year 6 project. The Hotel owner, Nadine was really kind and helpful and our children (7, and 10) loved staying at the Hotel, which was very clean and bright,... more
