My wife and I stayed here for two nights in September. This B&B is a lovely chateau on the outskirts of Prades and the rooms are just beautiful overlooking a delightful garden with hugh mountains as a backdrop. We had a lovely large room looking out over the garden, with a beautiful back-drop of a snow capped Mt Canigou. Our hosts were very charming, their hospitality generous and nothing was too much trouble. Castel Rose was everything one hopes for in a chambres-dhotes and more. We hope to return soon. more

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Castell Rose immediately after a stay in the "gold standard" of B&Bs further north, the Clos d'Epicure near Albi. So we arrived somewhat spoiled, expecting a very similar experience. Everything was great. Excellent hosts, great food the night that we did a Table d'Hote, fabulous views of the Canigou mountain from our room, very comfortable bed and spacious room. The B&B owners clearly work very hard on the house to keep it completely ship-shape. more

This is one of the best top level B&B we have ever stayed at. Marvellous house/chateau style abode, very quiet with fantastic views of the Pyrenees.
